Xiaomi continues to reveal details about the new generation of its SU7 electric car, focusing on a significant powertrain update. According to company CEO Lei Jun, all versions of the model now feature a new V6s Plus electric motor, which substantially improves the vehicle's performance.
The flagship SU7 Max accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.08 seconds, positioning it in the sports electric sedan segment. Its top speed reaches 265 km/h, further emphasizing its high-performance orientation beyond daily commuting.
Despite this focus on speed, the new model maintains an impressive range. Depending on the version, the car can travel between 720 and 902 kilometers on the CLTC cycle. An additional advantage comes from a new silicon carbide-based high-voltage platform: in the top version, charging from 10 to 80 percent can take just about 12 minutes, significantly reducing wait times.
Beyond the powertrain, Xiaomi has also enhanced the chassis. The car features a new platform with independent suspension, upgraded brakes, and wider rear tires. Higher-end versions offer adaptive dampers and air suspension. The company states that even after 40 consecutive intensive braking maneuvers, the system's effectiveness remains stable.
