OPPO Find N6 battery life outlasts Pixel and Samsung foldables

Battery life has traditionally been a weak spot for foldable smartphones, but that's changing with the OPPO Find N6. A recent PhoneBuff test, which included gaming, social media, web browsing, and video playback, showed the OPPO Find N6 lasting 27 hours and 46 minutes. This outlasted both the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. The gap isn't huge, but it's noticeable, especially for users who demand consistent battery performance.

The key to this endurance lies in the battery. The OPPO Find N6 uses a silicon-carbon battery technology with a high capacity. This allows for a larger battery to be housed in a compact body. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a 4,400 mAh battery, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has a 5,015 mAh unit. Interestingly, the Pixel, despite its larger capacity, doesn't show the expected increase in battery life, possibly due to software optimization or the overall hardware balance.

Even after reaching zero percent charge, the Find N6 managed to operate for another 18 minutes in a low-power mode. This isn't critical, but it's useful in emergencies. Plus, the device supports 80W wired charging, which can replenish half the battery in just half an hour, outpacing its competitors.

While this is just one test, the results point to a trend. Silicon-carbon batteries could become the new standard for foldable devices, boosting battery life and making smartphones more practical for daily use. The Find N6 shows that manufacturers are starting to seriously address the battery life issue in foldables, and future models may offer even more impressive results.
