Xiaomi has completed the stable release of HyperOS 3.1 in China and is now focusing on its global rollout. The company has started deploying a global beta version for an initial batch of devices through its Mi Pilot program.
Currently, the update is only available for the latest flagship models: the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (EEA) with version OS3.0.301.3.WPAEUXM and the Xiaomi 17 (global version) with version OS3.0.300.7.WPCMIXM.
The list of supported devices will expand as testing continues on more smartphones. Users whose devices are included in the beta can register to gain early access to new features and updates.
A key feature of HyperOS 3.1 is its lack of support for Android 15. Instead, the update is designed for Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO models running on Android 16. The full list of devices and capabilities is available on Xiaomi's official website.
To become a beta tester for HyperOS Mi Pilot, users need to install the Mi Community app and create an account. They should ensure the global region is selected in settings, choose the beta version for their device, and click "Apply." After submitting responses with a score of at least 60 points, they confirm the application and wait for approval, which can take up to seven days. Status can be checked in Mi Community under the beta testing section. Once approved, users can open phone settings to check for the update.
Since beta versions may contain bugs, it's advisable to back up data and install them on a secondary device.
