The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 foldable phone has received certification from the 3C regulatory body under model numbers SM-F9710 and SM-F9760. Both versions support 45W fast wired charging, a long-awaited improvement for the Galaxy Z Fold series. Previously, Galaxy Z Fold models only supported 15W wired charging. Starting with the Z Fold2, power increased to 25W and remained at that level for years. Users have long demanded faster charging speeds, and Samsung has finally addressed these requests.
For comparison, Galaxy S series flagships have supported 45W for several years, and the new Galaxy S26 Ultra model has reached 60W charging power. This shows that foldable devices are finally catching up to the company's other flagship models in battery recovery speed. Certification data also points to an increase in the Galaxy Z Fold8's battery capacity from 4,400 mAh to 5,000 mAh. This promises longer operation without recharging and enhances the device's convenience for daily use.
Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold8 certification confirms that Samsung is actively improving both charging and battery performance in its foldable phones, making them more competitive in the flagship smartphone market.
