Samsung has expanded its mid-range smartphone lineup with the Galaxy A37, a model focused on improved cameras and enhanced durability. While maintaining the series' recognizable design, it introduces several key upgrades, including more advanced photography capabilities and better protection against external elements.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits for HDR content. It includes an under-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. Powering the device is the Exynos 1480 processor, built on a 4nm process with Xclipse 530 graphics, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS storage in configurations ranging from 6/128GB to 12/256GB.
Cameras take center stage. The Galaxy A37 boasts an updated 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization, larger pixels, and Super HDR support, along with 10-bit HDR video recording. Additional cameras include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide module and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The 12-megapixel front camera supports 4K video capture. Samsung also claims improved low-light performance thanks to a new ISP and processing algorithms.
Running on Android 16 with One UI 8.5, the device marks a first for this segment by offering AI features previously exclusive to Galaxy S and Z flagships. Samsung promises six major Android updates and six years of security support, making this one of the longest-supported models in its class.
Durability has been enhanced, with an upgrade to IP68 certification from the predecessor's IP67, and a plastic frame complemented by Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both front and back. The device measures 7.4mm thick and weighs 194 grams. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, though it lacks a headphone jack and microSD slot.
Sales begin on April 10. In Europe, pricing starts at €429 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The smartphone will be available in four colors: gray, green, lavender, and white.
