ASUS launches ROG Cronox gaming case with built-in display

ASUS is expanding its gaming lineup with the launch of the unconventional ROG Cronox case, which blends premium materials, advanced ergonomics, and a built-in display. The new product is already available for pre-order, with official sales set to begin on April 10 at a price of 2,399 yuan.

The standout feature is a built-in 9.2-inch LCD panel mounted on a hinge. This IPS screen boasts a resolution of 1920×462 pixels, a 60 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of brightness, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It can be rotated and tilted, serving to display system information, notifications, clocks, or custom monitoring panels.

From a design perspective, the Cronox is geared toward high-performance builds. It supports motherboards up to E-ATX size (12×10.9 inches), including those with reverse connectors, and offers eight expansion slots. The design incorporates curved tempered glass, a polished aluminum frame, and metal feet with integrated lighting.

Engineering details also merit attention: the case features a patented rotating side-fan holder and a graphics card locking system that simplifies component installation. On the front panel, there's an extensive array of ports—two USB-C with speeds up to 20 Gbps and four USB-A ports at 5 Gbps.

Overall, the ROG Cronox emerges not just as a case but as a full-fledged element of the gaming ecosystem, with visual and functional capabilities that go beyond traditional solutions.
