The Nubia Z80 Ultra hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, but it has already surfaced in two databases—Geekbench and 3C Certification. If the leaks hold up, it could become one of the most distinctive smartphones of late 2025.
A device carrying the model number NX741J scored 3,669 in the single-core test and more than 11,000 in the multi-core run. It’s built on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with 16 GB of RAM and Android 16. The 3C listing confirms charging support up to 94.5 W, though some sources say the actual speed will be 90 W.
The headline feature is an under-display selfie camera. It would be the only Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship with a truly bezel-free design. The main camera is set to use a 50 MP sensor with a 35 mm lens, alongside an ultrawide built on a large sensor and a periscope telephoto. Another intriguing touch is a 7,100 mAh battery that promises serious endurance.
Nubia seems to be going all-in: not just chasing flagship status, but betting on a signature feature rivals don’t offer—a risky yet refreshing move. The mix of an under-screen camera, a massive battery, and a top-tier processor could turn the Z80 Ultra into the season’s big surprise. For now, the company is keeping quiet about several specs, which only fuels the curiosity.
