Samsung Galaxy S27 to feature new Pro model and expanded lineup

Samsung is planning significant changes to its flagship Galaxy S27 lineup. According to insider Ice Universe, the company will expand the series to four models for the first time in several years by adding a new version called the Galaxy S27 Pro.

If confirmed, the lineup will include the standard Galaxy S27, S27+, the new S27 Pro, and the top-tier S27 Ultra. This move marks a departure from the three-tier structure Samsung has maintained since 2020, shifting toward a more flexible model with two premium devices.

The main idea behind the Galaxy S27 Pro is to offer the flagship capabilities of the Ultra model but without the S Pen stylus. The new device is expected to feature most of the advanced technologies, including top-tier cameras and displays, while being positioned as a more "pure" smartphone that omits additional functions not needed by all users.

Furthermore, some exclusive Ultra features may become more accessible. For instance, the privacy display technology first introduced in the Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely appear in two models of the next generation. This suggests Samsung is attempting to expand the premium segment and offer users more choice.

Analysts believe this strategy allows the company to respond to Apple's approach with four iPhone models. Instead of a single ultra-flagship, Samsung can now offer two options in the high-end segment, strengthening competition and adapting to different usage scenarios.
