RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro: new gaming tablet features and release date

RedMagic is gearing up to launch its new flagship gaming tablet, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, with its release expected soon. According to brand head Jiang Chao, the device could be unveiled as early as April or next month, though an exact date remains under wraps.

This new model will succeed last year's RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, bringing several notable upgrades. It's anticipated to feature an OLED display with an exceptionally high refresh rate, an enhanced cooling system utilizing PC-level solutions, and a redesigned user interface tailored for gamers.

It has been confirmed that the device will launch not only in China but also globally. As with the previous model, the international version might carry a different name—the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro was sold outside China as the Astra. However, the global release will likely follow the Chinese debut by several months.

Drawing on the company's past patterns, the worldwide launch could happen this summer, around June or July. Pricing details are still unknown, but given rising component costs, the new tablet may end up being more expensive than its predecessor.
