Google Pixel 8 Pro owners are reporting widespread connectivity issues following a March 2026 software update. According to users, their smartphones are losing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections without apparent reason, and standard troubleshooting steps like reboots no longer help.
Reports are spreading rapidly on Reddit, where users describe identical symptoms: devices fail to detect networks, cannot connect to access points, and experience intermittent mobile data failures. The problem has affected numerous owners and became particularly noticeable after the latest system update.
An unusual detail involves temperature dependency of the connectivity modules. Users have noticed that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth function normally only when the device is cooled down, but stop working at normal temperatures. This has led to speculation about potential issues with the Google Tensor SoC processor, which might be prematurely throttling the communication modules.
Some owners have resorted to extreme measures: literally cooling their smartphones by placing them near ice. Under these conditions, connections do indeed restore, but this approach risks condensation buildup and device damage, so experts advise against repeating such experiments.
Google has not officially acknowledged the problem. Users also complain that support services deny assistance due to expired warranties. Against this backdrop, trust in updates is declining, especially considering that similar connectivity problems with Pixel devices have occurred before.
