Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy A57 5G smartphone on the Chinese market. Sales begin on April 11, with two memory configurations available starting at $480.
The Galaxy A57 5G features a redesigned body that's slimmer and lighter, measuring just 6.9mm thick and weighing 179 grams. Despite these reductions, durability remains strong thanks to Gorilla Glass Victus+ and a metal frame. The device also gains improved water resistance, now rated at IP68 instead of IP67.
Inside, you'll find a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with FHD+ resolution and slim bezels. Powering the phone is the new Exynos 1680 processor, replacing last year's chip. Samsung has enhanced the cooling system too, which should help maintain stable performance. A 5,000 mAh battery handles power needs, while software support stands out as a key advantage—Samsung promises up to six years of Android updates and security patches.
For photography, the Galaxy A57 5G sports a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. The 12MP front camera supports Super HDR, and improvements to night mode and image processing deliver more detailed shots in low light.
The smartphone comes in two variants: one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and another with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
