GoPro is gearing up to launch a new generation of action cameras, with early leaks already revealing key features of the upcoming Hero 14 Black. While the company has only hinted at an April announcement, a video has surfaced online confirming significant changes to the device.
According to a leak from a popular YouTube blogger, the new camera will offer 8K recording at 30 frames per second with various aspect ratios, including 4:3, 16:9, and the vertical 9:16 format. This marks a substantial leap forward from previous models, opening up new possibilities for content creators.
The Hero 14 Black is also reported to be noticeably larger than its predecessor. The front panel will feature an enlarged camera module, along with a light sensor and two front-facing microphones. Meanwhile, the display size will remain roughly on par with the Hero 13 Black.
The new model is expected to be the first GoPro camera equipped with the new GP3 image processing chip, which should enhance video quality and overall performance. The company has already confirmed its participation in the NAB Show 2026, where it plans to unveil a "new generation of devices."
Although an exact release date hasn't been announced, leaks suggest the presentation could happen in the coming weeks. The new Hero 14 Black promises to be the most significant update to the lineup in years.
