New details about the upcoming Redmi K90 Max flagship have emerged ahead of its April 21st unveiling. While positioned as a performance-focused device, mounting evidence suggests a clear emphasis on gaming.
Recent reports indicate the smartphone will feature a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset paired with a dedicated D2 graphics processor. This dual-chip setup aims to enhance image quality in games through features like frame interpolation and scaling. According to the manufacturer, the device can deliver up to 165 frames per second even in titles not originally designed for such high refresh rates.
It has also been confirmed that the Redmi K90 Max comes with a substantial 8,550 mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging. Additional features include 22.5W reverse charging, PPS support, and bypass charging, making it versatile for both gaming and daily use. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and improved touch sensitivity. In Geekbench tests, a prototype with 16GB of RAM has already posted impressive scores, confirming its flagship performance credentials.
Another standout feature will be its cooling system with a built-in fan. Despite this active cooling solution, the device will maintain dust and water resistance. Combined with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, these elements make the Redmi K90 Max a powerful all-around smartphone geared toward maximum performance.
