Apple is preparing a major update to iOS 27 that could significantly expand iPhone capabilities through new artificial intelligence features. According to insider reports, the system will include several tools designed to simplify users' daily tasks.
One key innovation involves the development of Visual Intelligence. The system will learn to recognize product composition from photos—simply scanning a label will provide data on calories, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. This feature is expected to integrate with the Health app, turning the iPhone into a comprehensive tool for dietary monitoring.
Visual Intelligence will also automatically recognize contact information. When scanning images containing phone numbers or addresses, the system will offer to save the data directly to the contacts list, eliminating the need for manual entry.
Safari won't be left unchanged either. The browser will gain an intelligent system that automatically names tab groups based on their content. For instance, if several sports-related pages are open, the system will suggest an appropriate group name.
The Apple Wallet app is also set for an important update—users will be able to convert physical cards and tickets into digital versions. Simply scanning a document will allow it to be added to Wallet for electronic use.
iOS 27 is officially expected to be announced at the WWDC 2026 conference in June, with a release scheduled for autumn alongside the new iPhone lineup.
