Doogee Fire 5 Ultra and Pro: rugged specs, prices, October launch

Doogee is gearing up to launch two new rugged smartphones: the Fire 5 Ultra and the Fire 5 Pro. The release is expected by late October, and early leaks suggest the brand is sticking to its formula of long-lasting power and a body ready for harsh conditions.

The flagship Fire 5 Ultra is set to use a MediaTek Helio G81 chip, run Android 15, and feature a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The main camera is a 48 MP OmniVision OV48B2Q, while the front camera relies on an 8 MP Sony IMX355. Its headline feature is a 13,000 mAh battery that supports 18 W wired charging and 5 W reverse charging. On the back are two powerful camping lights rated at 1,200 lumens, able to illuminate up to 8 meters and switch to an SOS mode—an unusual touch that reinforces the outdoor focus.

The Fire 5 Pro is the more accessible option and skips the camping lights. It gets a 13 MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K3L6 camera, 4 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. Both models include NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a customizable key, and meet MIL-STD-810H as well as IP68/IP69K. The spec sheet leans toward practicality over frills, which fits the brief.

Pricing is expected at $169.99 for the Doogee Fire 5 Pro and $199.99 for the Fire 5 Ultra. Both will be available in three colors: Forest Green, Blaze Orange, and Twilight Gray.
