Insta360 has officially unveiled its new Luna camera lineup at the NAB 2026 exhibition. Alongside the flagship Luna Ultra, the company showcased the more affordable Luna Pro model. Unlike its dual-lens sibling, this new camera features a single sensor and is positioned as a streamlined solution for a broader audience, while retaining the brand's key technologies.
Although a full spec sheet hasn't been released, the Luna Pro is expected to come equipped with a large 1-inch sensor, support for 10-bit iLOG video recording, and an enhanced dynamic range. It will also feature an intelligent object-tracking system, making it an appealing tool for bloggers and content creators.
The company is betting on a combination of image quality and user-friendliness, including compatibility with proprietary accessories and a modular design approach. The camera will be available in two colors and is likely to serve as a more budget-friendly alternative to the Luna Ultra, while still competing with DJI's Osmo Pocket series.
An exact release date and price have not been disclosed, but the launch is anticipated in the coming months. Industry observers suggest Insta360 will aim to keep pricing competitive to strengthen its position in an increasingly fierce market for compact, gimbal-equipped cameras.
