Redmi K90 Max: first smartphone with integrated cooling fan

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi K90 Max smartphone, marking the brand's first model to feature an integrated active cooling system. The device boasts a unique design with a fan and sealed air channel that effectively reduces temperatures even under heavy loads. The new model is already available for purchase in China starting at 2,999 yuan.

The smartphone's standout feature is its cooling system, which includes an 18.1mm diameter fan with a metal bearing. According to the manufacturer, in maximum cooling mode, temperatures can drop by 10 degrees in just 100 seconds. Noise levels remain below 32 dB, and users can choose from several operating modes for the system.

Powering the Redmi K90 Max is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor paired with an additional D2 graphics chip, enabling it to run modern games at high refresh rates. The phone supports modes up to 1.5K and 165 Hz, and comes with fast memory options of 12 or 16 GB, storage capacities of 256, 512, or 1,024 GB, and an 8,550 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. These features make it clearly targeted at gamers.

Rounding out the package are a large, high-brightness display with a high refresh rate, an advanced Bose-tuned audio system, and body protection meeting IP66, IP68, and IP69 standards. Overall, the Redmi K90 Max combines powerful hardware, an innovative cooling solution, and enhanced durability, positioning itself as a device focused on performance and stable operation under load.
