Samsung seems to have accidentally revealed important details about its upcoming smart glasses. A changelog for one of the system apps has turned up a reference to a device simply called "Glasses," which could be the official name for the new lineup based on Android XR.

According to the update, the glasses will support Samsung Quick Pair, a feature similar to Google's Fast Pair technology. This would allow instant connection with Galaxy smartphones and likely enable quick battery level checks right on the phone's screen.

Although the changelog itself contains minimal information, earlier leaks provide a clearer picture of the product. The device, reportedly codenamed Jinju, is said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 platform, a 155 mAh battery, and a built-in 12-megapixel camera.

Another version is reportedly in development under the codename Haean. It could differ by incorporating microLED displays directly into the lenses, bringing the device closer to full XR capabilities.

An exact release date is not yet known, but the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event could serve as the first showcase. Even if the launch happens later, it's clear that Samsung is making strong headway into the next generation of wearable electronics.
