The official debut of the Coros Apex 4 is just days away, yet fresh leaks have already laid out nearly all the headline features of the upcoming flagship. The Apex line has long been the pick for athletes and mountaineers, and this fourth generation appears set to push the standard higher.
According to images and materials surfaced on Reddit and in marketing decks, the Coros Apex 4 will come in two sizes — 42 mm and 46 mm. The company is refreshing the case while keeping the recognizable look, including the Coros branding on the front.
The headline upgrade is the hardware. Leaked details point to 30 times more computing power for maps and graphics, which should mean snappier route rendering and the ability to show more topographic detail on the wrist.
Battery life looks just as striking: up to 65 hours of continuous GPS on the larger model and up to 41 hours on the smaller one. For context, the Apex 2 topped out at 40 hours. In everyday use, the watch is rated for up to two weeks between charges—62% longer than its predecessor.
Coros has also refined its navigation stack, adding a dual-range barometer and an updated GPS module for even more precise positioning. Other upgrades include built-in speakers and a microphone, enabling call handling when paired with a smartphone.
The MiP display deserves a mention, staying legible in direct sunlight—an essential trait for travelers and outdoor athletes.
The Coros Apex 4 is slated to be announced on October 15, and if the leaks hold, it’s shaping up to be one of the most capable and long-lasting wearables in its class.
