A new leak suggests Xiaomi is preparing a significant expansion of the Civi lineup. Whereas previous generations typically launched with just one main variant, this year Xiaomi might introduce two models simultaneously — the Xiaomi Civi 6 and Civi 6 Pro. This marks a notable shift for a series that has traditionally emphasized slim design, capable cameras, and appeal to younger users.
The base Xiaomi Civi 6 is said to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K display and a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor. The higher-end Civi 6 Pro will be significantly more powerful: it is expected to feature a 6.83-inch screen of similar resolution and the flagship Dimensity 9500 chip, pushing the series closer to true flagship territory.
Cameras continue to be a key selling point. Both models are rumored to include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Xiaomi is also expected to continue its partnership with Leica. Following the inclusion of Leica Summilux optics in the Civi 4 Pro, the series will likely keep Leica's signature color science and enhanced image processing.
Xiaomi Civi 6 is expected to be announced in the first half of this year, but whether it will see a global launch is still unclear. Many previous Civi models stayed China-exclusive, though Xiaomi could rebrand one variant for international markets — just as it did with the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, which arrived globally as the Xiaomi 15 Civi.
