Xiaomi has rolled out a new set of optimizations for HyperOS 3, as announced by a company representative in the Xiaomi community forum—a hub where users regularly report bugs and issues. The latest update notably focuses on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which had been plagued by gallery glitches, excessive battery drain, and password manager malfunctions.

Chief among the fixes is a photo album optimization for the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max running firmware 3.0.306.0. Users had reported that original photos sometimes failed to load, and the app would crash when selecting images. Xiaomi confirms these issues have now been resolved.

The update also addresses rapid battery drain on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with HyperOS 3.0.305.0 and sluggishness in the password manager on firmware 3.0.304.0. Additionally, optimizations reach the Xiaomi 17 Pro, where the Xiaomi Super Island occasionally failed to respond to taps, and the standard Xiaomi 17, which suffered from gallery crashes.

Other devices also benefit from fixes. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra gets a correction for an issue where the Security app, after optimization, kept showing an old system score. The Xiaomi 15S Pro sees a fix for freezing during junk cleanup in Security, and the Xiaomi 14 resolves a problem with text recognition on images in the gallery.

Xiaomi also singled out the REDMI K Pad 2, where the Baidu Input Method had been crashing under certain conditions. The latest report highlights the company's ongoing, targeted refinements to HyperOS 3 across its lineup, tackling not just major bugs but also everyday nuisances that directly impact user experience.
