A new leak has surfaced about an upcoming device in the Redmi K100 series, which still lacks a precise name. According to insider Digital Chat Station, this is an unusual flagship that could stand out from other models in the lineup.
The smartphone's main highlight might be a large 7-inch 2K display, a size that goes beyond typical dimensions even for top-tier devices. Even more impressive is the battery: its capacity is rumored to exceed 10,000 mAh, potentially making it a record holder among flagships.
Additionally, the device is said to feature an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, a metal body, and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance. Earlier reports pointed to a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, but the latest leak suggests a 3nm chip instead.
However, no new 3nm solutions from Qualcomm are expected in this category yet, so possible candidates include the Dimensity 9500 Plus or Xiaomi's own Xring O3 chip.
Interestingly, the standard Redmi K100 is rumored to feature a more compact 6.6-inch screen and a battery around 8,500 mAh. This indirectly suggests that the described device could be a third model in the series, with increased size and battery life.
Since all information is based on leaks, final specifications and positioning will only be confirmed after the official announcement, expected later this year.
