New details have emerged online about the upcoming Insta360 Luna Ultra camera, which is nearing its official debut. Leaks have spilled nearly every key spec, including an advanced camera system, 8K video, 32-bit audio, and AI-powered stabilization.

The Luna Ultra looks set to become one of the most feature-packed pocket camera gimbals on the market, directly challenging the forthcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. Its standout feature is a dual-camera setup: a primary wide-angle lens with a 20mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 120mm telephoto lens offering 6x optical zoom.

The camera also supports 12x lossless zoom, relying on its high-resolution sensor and intelligent processing. Users can choose from 1x, 2x, 3x, 6x, and 12x modes, with some levels achieved via cropping and digital zoom.

At its core, the Luna Ultra packs a 50MP 1-inch CMOS sensor. It captures stills up to 37MP and records 8K video at 30fps with a bitrate reaching 120 Mbps. A dedicated AI chip handles video processing and low-light performance.

Professional video modes include 10-bit I-Log, Dolby Vision, and Gamma Log. Stabilization comes from a 3-axis mechanical gimbal combined with the company's FlowState system and a 6-axis gyroscope. Additional features like Deep Track AI, Dolly Zoom, Bullet Time, and 360-degree rotation are also on board.

A removable OLED display doubles as a wireless remote control. For audio, the camera supports 48 kHz/32-bit recording and works with the upcoming Insta360 Mic Pro, which hasn't been officially announced yet.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and USB-C. Rumors suggest the Insta360 Luna Ultra will launch soon, though an exact date remains unconfirmed.
