Windows 10 and Windows 11 users are reporting problems after installing the latest updates. According to Neowin, complaints emerged following the release of KB5087544 for Windows 10 and KB5089549 for Windows 11. Some PC owners say their internet now runs slower, while others are dealing with unstable connections and network errors.

The trouble isn't limited to network performance—it also affects the update installation process itself. On Microsoft's forums and social media, users say the updates fail to install even after several tries, with the process ending in an error. As a result, many computers are still missing the latest patch.

That said, user reports indicate the failure doesn't cause serious system damage. When installation fails, Windows rolls back the changes and restores normal operation. This reduces the risk of major issues, but it still forces users to repeatedly attempt the update and search for workarounds.

There's a certain irony here: the problematic update was supposed to include a mechanism for automatically fixing errors during future updates. Instead, KB5087544 and KB5089549 have sparked fresh complaints about installation failures and internet quality.
