The Xiaomi 17 Max has popped up in Geekbench before its official launch, giving us an early look at its performance. The phone, listed under model number 2605EPN8EC, packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and 16GB of RAM.

Benchmark scores are impressive: 3,750 points in single-core and 11,674 in multi-core tests on Geekbench 6.7.1. That puts it firmly in flagship territory.

Rumors point to an 8,000mAh Jinshajiang battery as a key feature. Xiaomi has already shown off the phone's endurance in a live stream, claiming it outlasted two iPhone 17 Pro Max units during video playback.

The display is expected to be a large 6.9-inch Super Pixel panel with slim bezels. It reportedly uses a new RGB subpixel structure for better efficiency and offers quality close to 2K resolution. Other likely specs include LTPO 120Hz refresh rate, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen, and symmetrical stereo speakers.

On the camera front, early information suggests a 200MP main sensor tuned by Leica, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide shooter.

The device may also come with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. A redesigned internal layout should help with heat dissipation during intense use.

The Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to debut alongside other gadgets, including new wearables.
