The release date for Grand Theft Auto VI is increasingly looking like a firm commitment. Take-Two Interactive confirmed once again in its latest financial report that GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026. After a previous delay, this sends a strong signal to players: the publisher is no longer just floating a date—it's building next year's financial expectations around it.

The biggest reason against another postponement is money. Take-Two projects revenue of $8 to $8.2 billion for the 2027 fiscal year. That's roughly a 20% jump from this year's $6.72 billion. CEO Strauss Zelnick directly tied that growth to the GTA 6 launch and said the upcoming year should set new records in operational efficiency.

For a publicly traded company, this kind of forecast is far more than just marketing. It has already been shared with investors and regulators. A sudden delay of GTA 6 would therefore be not just a reputational blow but a serious financial risk. That's why this new release date feels more solid than the earlier rumors and speculation.

Take-Two is entering the launch period with a strong financial foundation. In the fourth quarter, it beat its own guidance with $1.58 billion in revenue. Annual revenue climbed 18% to $6.66 billion, driven by NBA 2K, GTA Online, and Zynga's mobile games. Over the course of the year, the publisher also paid down $1.1 billion in short-term debt, strengthening its balance sheet ahead of what it calls a historic release.

GTA 6 is confirmed only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch. A PC version hasn't been officially announced yet, which follows Rockstar's typical pattern for major titles. Still, the main takeaway from Take-Two's report is clear: November 19, 2026, has become not just a date but the focal point of one of the most ambitious fiscal years in the company's history.
