Redmi is reportedly planning to launch a new K100 series in China this September. The exact number of models remains unclear, but early leaks suggest a size-based split: a base model with a 6.59-inch display and a Pro variant with a larger 6.9-inch panel.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared new details. According to the source, one device in the sub-series—likely the Redmi K100 Pro or another Pro model—is being tested with a flat 2D display measuring 6.9 inches and an unusually high 185 Hz refresh rate. That's a notable step up from the standard 120 Hz or 144 Hz, clearly targeting gamers and users who prioritize smooth visuals.

The engineering sample reportedly features large rounded screen corners and a horizontal camera block with a metal-like finish. Redmi is said to keep some of the series' signature design elements. Other highlights include a large linear vibration motor and symmetrical stereo speakers, which should boost multimedia and gaming performance.

The most significant upgrade could be the battery. Digital Chat Station indicated a target capacity of around 9,000 mAh. That would be a substantial jump from the Redmi K90 Pro Max's 7,560 mAh cell, potentially making it one of the brand's most durable flagships.

According to preliminary information, the device is expected to pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and support 100W fast charging. Additional rumored features include an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. As for a separate Redmi K100 Pro Max with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, recent rumors suggest it may not launch in September, so the described model is likely the Redmi K100 Pro or a close Pro variant.
