Insider Ice Universe posted a photo on Weibo claiming to show Apple's first foldable smartphone in a white-silver finish. The image suggests Apple opted for a wider form factor—resembling a compact tablet when opened—rather than the typical book-like or clamshell design.

This silhouette isn't entirely surprising. Earlier leaks included mockups and CAD schematics with similar proportions. According to those leaks, the unfolded iPhone Fold measures roughly 120.6 x 167.6 mm. When folded, the body thickness is about 9.23 mm without the camera bump, rising to around 13 mm with it.

The photo also confirms one of the expected colors: silver. Navy Blue is rumored to be the second option. Based on the leak, Apple isn't preparing bright hues for its first foldable; instead, it's leaning toward a more restrained, premium look.

The camera setup may also be simpler than on regular Pro models. Only two modules are expected, with no third lens. Details on the sensors are still limited, but the missing extra lens might be a compromise to keep the body thin and accommodate the folding mechanism.

According to preliminary information, the foldable iPhone is expected to launch this fall. Despite a high price—rumored to be around $2,000—the launch is expected to quickly place Apple among the top foldable smartphone makers. Initial shipments will be limited, so the first-generation iPhone Fold will likely serve as an expensive showcase of a new direction rather than a mass-market device.
