Scuderia Ferrari AI PC: $5599 Limited Edition Laptop Review

Ferrari and HP have revealed a limited-edition laptop called the Scuderia Ferrari AI PC. It was designed for the Monaco Grand Prix and targets brand enthusiasts who care about looks as much as specs. Only 5000 units will be made, priced at $5599.

Looks are the main attraction. The body gets a bright red finish in Rosso Magma, inspired by the Ferrari Icona Daytona SP3. Most of the chassis is CNC-machined anodized aluminum, with carbon fiber on the bottom panel. A transparent 'engine bay' window lets you see the processor and cooling system. That window is made of Gorilla Glass and has 2000 small holes, with the unit's serial number printed next to it.

More Ferrari design cues are scattered around. The hinge draws inspiration from the Ferrari F76 hypercar, and its concentric lamellas help direct airflow for cooling. The touchpad is nearly invisible when the laptop is open—its edges are outlined by a thin light strip under the keyboard. That design follows Ferrari's 'eyes on the road' philosophy.

Under the hood, this laptop is more premium workstation than gaming rig. It packs an Intel Core Ultra X7 processor, Intel Arc integrated graphics, 64GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen. The keyboard features per-key RGB backlighting using Ferrari's custom font. Port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4, a 10Gbps USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and a headphone jack.

Sales begin on June 12 in a handful of countries: the US, UK, Italy, and Japan. Each laptop comes with a USB-C charger and a Poltrona Frau leather case, using the same material found in Ferrari car interiors. Like many Ferrari-branded products, it's not about value for money—but it never pretended to be.
