Palit has introduced the GeForce RTX 3060 Infinity 2 OC, a new graphics card based on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture. The launch follows reports that RTX 3060 production has resumed, rather than simply marking the return of old inventory to store shelves.

Industry sources previously pointed to a possible restart of GA106 GPU production on Samsung's 8 nm process. RTX 3060 cards then began reappearing in stores across China and Europe, although most were familiar designs from the product's original life cycle. Palit, however, presents the Infinity 2 OC as an entirely new model.

The card uses the GeForce RTX 3060 configuration with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. It features an all-black dual-fan cooler, a ventilated backplate and a pass-through section behind the heatsink for better airflow. The fans support a 0 dB mode and stop under light loads.

The RTX 3060's main advantage over many current entry-level graphics cards is its memory capacity. Palit highlights the 12 GB of VRAM for video editing, 3D workloads, local AI tasks and 1080p gaming. However, the card still relies on the 2021-era Ampere architecture, so it does not support DLSS Frame Generation or Multi Frame Generation.

Palit has prepared two versions, including an OC model clocked at up to 1792 MHz. That is roughly 0.8% above the reference boost clock. Pricing, the sales launch date and regional availability have not yet been announced.
