Garmin may significantly change the launch strategy for its flagship watches, according to fresh rumors. Garmin Rumors claims the company could unveil Garmin Fenix 9, the pricier Fenix 9 Pro and Enduro 4 at the same time, with the latter focused on maximum battery life.
The main difference between the new models could be the display type. Enduro 4 is rumored to use an energy-efficient MIP screen with solar charging support, helping it run for especially long periods away from a charger. Fenix 9, meanwhile, may switch exclusively to AMOLED as Garmin continues moving its premium watches toward brighter panels.
AMOLED offers stronger contrast, richer colors and a more modern look, but it also consumes more power, especially at high brightness. That could leave Enduro 4 as the main choice for users who prefer MIP and value battery life over image quality.
Another possible change concerns the release schedule. Fenix 9 Pro is said to debut alongside the standard Fenix 9. The previous generation followed a different pattern, with Fenix 8 Pro arriving several months after the regular model. The current Pro version includes inReach technology with LTE and satellite connectivity, as well as AMOLED and MicroLED variants.
Garmin Rumors also mentions a 43 mm Fenix 9 Pro. That would be a notable shift because the current Fenix 8 Pro is available only in 47 mm and 51 mm cases. Garmin has not officially announced Fenix 9, Fenix 9 Pro or Enduro 4.
