AMD has officially added the Radeon RX 9050 to its Radeon RX 9000 desktop graphics card lineup. The entry-level model is designed for 1080p gaming and features 16 compute units, 1,024 stream processors, 16 ray accelerators and 32 AI accelerators.
The GPU has a game clock of 1,920 MHz and can boost up to 2,600 MHz. Single-precision compute performance is rated at 10.6 teraflops. In terms of compute units and stream processors, the new card offers half as many as the Radeon RX 9060 XT.
The graphics card comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory running at 18 Gbps across a 128-bit bus. Bandwidth reaches 288 GB/s, matching the more powerful Radeon RX 9060. It also includes 32MB of Infinity Cache.
Typical board power is rated at 92W. The card uses a single 8-pin auxiliary power connector, while AMD recommends a 450W power supply. Display outputs include DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b.
AMD has not yet announced an official suggested retail price or the full list of launch markets. According to Wccftech journalist Hassan Mujtaba, the Radeon RX 9050 could cost around $279 and initially go on sale in Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America.
