The US Federal Communications Commission has published certification documents for the Suunto Run 2, revealing official photos of the still-unannounced smartwatch. The materials also show the device packaging. FCC certification is required for wireless products sold in the United States. Such filings usually disclose supported standards and can hint at a launch in the coming months, but this time they also include images of the watch itself.
Visually, the watch differs only slightly from the first-generation Suunto Run. It has a round display with fairly wide bezels and a case that rises slightly above the glass to help protect it from impacts. A digital crown and two additional buttons sit on the right side.
The packaging confirms compatibility with Apple iPhone and Android devices. CE markings also point to a planned European release. The box appears to include a silicone sports strap. The watch supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 5 and dual-band GPS. However, it does not appear to include an LTE modem or an NFC chip for contactless payments.
The first-generation Suunto Run launched in May 2025. The official presentation date for the Suunto Run 2 remains unknown.
