OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max tipped with HP5 camera, Dimensity 9400 and 6,500 mAh

OPPO is gearing up a new Reno 15 series, with the Reno 15 Pro Max set to take the lead. Insider reports point to a focus on imaging, the latest processor, and a sizable battery.

The phone is expected to feature a flat 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz.

Under the hood, it will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, described as one of the most capable chips of its generation with a strong emphasis on power efficiency.

The spotlight is on the camera: the main module is said to use Samsung’s HP5 sensor, joined by a 50 MP telephoto and a 50 MP ultrawide, plus a 50 MP front camera.

Beyond photography, the newcomer is set to include a 6500 mAh battery, Wi‑Fi 7, NFC, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and OPPO’s LUMO image-processing algorithms. It will ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Analysts indicate OPPO plans to keep pricing in line with the current Reno 14 to stay competitive against Xiaomi and vivo. The company aims for the Reno 15 Pro Max to be not just a stylish camera-centric device but a genuine alternative to Samsung and Google Pixel flagships — and the spec sheet backs up that intention.

The launch in China is expected in late 2025, with a global rollout slated for early 2026.
