DJI, one of the best-known makers of stabilizers, has unveiled the next generation—Osmo Mobile 8—bringing meaningful upgrades to both features and shooting comfort.
The headline change is a dedicated panning feature that earlier models lacked. Automatic subject tracking also gets smarter: Osmo Mobile 8 now recognizes not only people but pets as well—an addition that immediately expands everyday use.
With Apple DockKit support on board, the stabilizer can tap into tracking across hundreds of iOS apps, including the built-in Camera app. That makes it a versatile pick for bloggers, creators, and anyone who enjoys shooting video on the go.
DJI keeps the design compact with an ergonomic grip tuned for low-angle shots. Osmo Mobile 8 supports backup power over USB-C, fast pairing with DJI Mic 2 and Mic Mini, and offers up to 10 hours of operation on a single charge—practical touches that count in real-world shooting.
The company hasn’t shared pricing or a release date yet, but Osmo Mobile 8 is expected to reach the market in the coming weeks.
