Huawei Nova 14 Vitality Edition debuts in China with 120Hz OLED, 50MP cameras and 66W charging

Huawei has officially unveiled in China the Nova 14 Vitality Edition — the fifth entry in the Nova 14 series, positioned above the recently released Nova 14i.

The newcomer features a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 1,100 nits, while the thin bezels and matte glass on the white and blue models play up a minimalist aesthetic. The device measures 7.15 mm thick and weighs 191 g.

The main camera relies on a 50 MP RYYB sensor (1/1.56") with optical stabilization, paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. Up front sits another 50 MP unit (1/2.5") aimed at selfies and video calls — an unusually ambitious setup for this class.

Power is a clear priority: a 5,500 mAh battery supports 66 W fast charging and is said to last through a full day of active use. The phone runs HarmonyOS 5.1, offers 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, and includes IP65 dust and water protection, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, an IR blaster, and Huawei’s in-house services.

Pricing for the Nova 14 Vitality Edition starts at 2,149 yuan (about $300) for the 256 GB version and 2,449 yuan (about $345) for 512 GB. Sales begin on October 24 via Huawei’s official Vmall store. The package reads like a deliberate bid for value without straying from the brand’s design language.
