An enthusiast from the NITTRX channel has built a one-of-a-kind portable PC powered by a mobile RTX 4090, capable of running modern AAA games at high resolutions with impressive frame rates. The device features a 12.5-inch 4K IPS touchscreen, an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor, 64 GB of quad-channel RAM, and a 2 TB SSD.
In testing, Cyberpunk 2077 ran at roughly 4K resolution on high to maximum settings, delivering between 60 and 70 FPS while using 8.3 GB of VRAM. God of War reached a steady 110–120 FPS. Component temperatures stayed well under control, with the CPU peaking at 67°C and the GPU at 72°C — notable figures for such a compact form factor.
At the heart of the build is a mobile RTX 4090 with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 174 W TGP, powered by a standard laptop power supply. In essence, it’s a high-end gaming laptop condensed into a 12.5-inch chassis.
This project shows that 4K gaming on a truly portable device with top-tier hardware is not only possible but entirely achievable with the right cooling strategy and smart engineering.
