Google is reportedly working on a new Play Store feature aimed at turning the app marketplace into a social hub for gamers. According to leaks, the company is developing an integrated Google Play Games Community Forum, where users will be able to share gameplay tips, ask questions, and take part in discussions without leaving the Play Store.
The forum will support creating and deleting posts, adding comments, and reacting to content. All contributions will display the user’s Google account name and profile picture. A dedicated «Your Contributions» section will include a profile page listing every post, like, and comment a user has made. Management tools will be accessible both within the Play Store app and via integration with Google Play Games.
Strings in the latest Play Store build suggest more than 20 tailored interaction formats — from game recommendations to themed discussions. The goal appears to be positioning the Play Store as a central meeting place for gamers, linking Android and PC players through Play Games and enabling cross-platform conversations.
Google has yet to make an official announcement, and the internal project name is unlikely to survive until launch. If the feature rolls out, however, it could serve as an alternative to third-party forums like Reddit, offering gamers a more integrated way to connect and exchange experiences within Google’s ecosystem.
