Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new flagship smartphone Redmi K90 Pro Max—the first Redmi model to carry the Pro Max badge. The device arrives with the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Gen 5 platform, a pro‑grade camera featuring a 5x periscope zoom, and audio tuned by Bose. Prices start at 3,999 yuan for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Visually, the Redmi K90 Pro Max stands out with generous curves, ultra‑thin bezels, and a distinctive metal camera island that integrates a dedicated speaker. The module bears Sound by Bose branding—a first in Redmi’s history. The phone comes in three colors: white, black, and a new denim blue crafted from third‑generation high‑tech nanofiber leather. It’s a confident look that signals premium ambitions.
The device is equipped with a 6.9‑inch RGB OLED display running at 120 Hz, backed by M10 technology, uniform bezels, and Xiaomi Qingshan EyeCare 3.0 certification to reduce eye strain. The screen supports full DC dimming, Circular Polarization 2.0, and an ultra‑low brightness of just 1 nit for comfortable nighttime viewing. On paper, it’s a panel tuned as much for endurance as for punch.
The primary camera setup includes three 50 MP sensors: a 1/1.31‑inch Light Hunter 950 main module, an 18 mm ultra‑wide lens, and a 115 mm periscope telephoto with 5x optical and 10x digital zoom, complete with optical stabilization. The feature mix suggests a focus on versatility rather than gimmicks.
Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Gen 5 paired with a D2 graphics chip. Power comes from a 7,560 mAh battery with 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, plus 22.5 W reverse charging. The phone supports the universal 100W PPS protocol and offers a bypass charging mode for gaming sessions—useful when heat and battery health are in play.
The audio system deserves special mention: symmetrical 1115F speakers, support for 2.1‑channel surround sound, and professional tuning by Bose combine to make the sound one of the strongest in the brand’s lineup. Rounding out the hardware are an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner, IP68/IP69 water protection, a powerful X‑shaped haptic motor, and a USB 3.2 Gen1 port.
With the Redmi K90 Pro Max, Xiaomi is clearly nudging the Redmi sub‑brand into a higher league—bringing together headline‑grade specs, advanced camera and audio tech, and a flagship price point that still aims to stay within reach.
