The first promo photo of the new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 has surfaced online, hinting that the company is preparing an update to its popular pocket gimbal. The image, posted on China’s Weibo and reportedly taken during a commercial shoot in Barcelona, shows what appears to be an almost final design.
The familiar silhouette remains—a slim, vertical body with a three-axis gimbal and a rotating display—but attentive viewers spotted one notable change. New controls now sit beneath the screen, replacing the Osmo branding seen on the Pocket 3. Those buttons will likely handle mode switching, focus adjustments, or gimbal control—an overdue tweak for a device built with solo shooting in mind and a welcome touch for vloggers.
If the photo is genuine, the hardware looks close to production, which could indicate an announcement sooner rather than later. Back in August, blurry images of what was said to be the Pocket 4 suggested a dual-camera setup—possibly combining a 1-inch main sensor with either a telephoto unit or a depth sensor. Around the same time, embargoed documents also leaked, pointing to an active development phase. Rumors further claim DJI is testing a Pro version with color tuned in collaboration with Hasselblad, signaling a closer partnership between the brands.
For reference, the Osmo Pocket 3, introduced in October 2023, is still in demand among videographers and sells for around $570. Given the leak and DJI’s usual update cadence, an Osmo Pocket 4 reveal could arrive in the coming months, although analysts consider early 2026 a more realistic timeline.
