Pixel 10 XL Tensor G5 gaming performance: real-world FPS results

Google’s new Tensor G5, built on TSMC’s 3 nm process and paired with PowerVR DXT-48-1536 graphics, shows mixed form in real-world gaming on the Pixel 10 XL. It stays composed in stress tests, yet popular titles paint a more complicated picture.

On the plus side, the Pixel 10 XL holds a steady 60 FPS in Valorant Mobile and PUBG Mobile at high settings. Push into heavier workloads and the cracks appear: Genshin Impact averages just 29 FPS on max graphics, while Wuthering Waves reaches 44 FPS.

Fortnite is where the chip stumbles most, with frequent stutters and frame drops, averaging 25 FPS at maximum settings. Over a 25-minute run, the device temperature rose to 42.9 degrees, hinting at possible throttling.

Experts note that the Pixel 10 XL has only just gone on sale, so game optimization for the new chip is still ahead. Future updates will likely lift performance and make the gaming experience more comfortable.
