Ruisheng Technology has announced AutoFlip, an electric hinge system for foldable smartphones. The new hinge is paired with a high-torque micromotor, while a side-mounted button lets the screen open and close automatically, cutting out the usual fiddling.
AutoFlip supports smooth folding across a 0–180° range. The device measures 14.6 mm when folded and just 7.25 mm when unfolded. The hinge delivers 226 mN·m of torque, which the company says keeps operation stable even under heavy use—a figure that hints at a mechanism built for frequent flips.
Ruisheng also pointed to stronger financials: in the first half of 2025, revenue reached 13.32 billion yuan, up 18.4% year over year, with 11.58 billion yuan coming from consumer electronics devices. Against that backdrop, investing in smarter hinge tech looks like a natural way to press the advantage.
