TECNO has announced that its new TECNO Slim smartphone has received the Platinum award at the international MUSE Design Awards 2025 in the Digital and Electronic Devices category. The prize recognizes the brand’s success in creating a device that blends a record-thin profile, solid performance, and long battery life. Run by the IAA, the competition annually assesses thousands of projects from more than 50 countries for innovation, functionality, and real-world value — a reminder that design can work hand in hand with practicality.
The TECNO Slim measures just 5.93 mm for the 4G version and 5.95 mm for the 5G model, yet it fits a 5,160 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging. Thanks to Honeycomb Stacking, engineers increased the efficiency of the internal space by 12%. The device features a 6.78-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display, an under-display fingerprint reader, and a Mood Light system that responds to notifications, calls, and music, creating a sense of more lifelike interaction with the user. On paper, the balance of thinness and stamina looks carefully engineered rather than flashy.
Despite its record thinness, durability remains a focus: the back panel uses 0.36 mm aerospace fiberglass that is 300% stronger than standard materials. The phone is IP64 certified, employs an effective heat dissipation system covering 24,532 mm², and weighs just 156 grams — light yet reassuring in the hand. The numbers point to an emphasis on everyday resilience as much as aesthetics.
