Xiaomi HyperOS 3 on Android 16: features, devices, update

Xiaomi has begun a large-scale rollout of HyperOS 3, built on Android 16. The new release is already making its way to a broad range of the brand’s smartphones, tablets, TVs, and smartwatches, bringing faster performance, richer personalization, upgraded AI capabilities, and tighter integration across Xiaomi’s devices—a focus that points to a more seamless ecosystem.

HyperOS 3 comes with a refreshed interface, new animations, and improved power efficiency. Particular attention went to lock-screen customization, smoother transitions, and smarter resource allocation between apps. The update also strengthens continuity across phones, tablets, and TVs, making it possible to drag content from one screen to another—exactly the sort of polish that pays off in everyday use.

For now, HyperOS 3 is rolling out in China, with the first wave reaching the following devices: Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, Xiaomi CIVI 5 Pro, Redmi K80, Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Redmi Turbo 4, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.4, Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 7, Redmi K Pad, and TVs from the Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED 2025, Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED, and Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2025 series. The update is also arriving on the company’s new smartwatch, Xiaomi Watch S4.

If your device is on that list, you can check for the update manually: open Settings > About phone > System updates and see if the new build is available.
