Samsung may revive the Galaxy S26 Edge with 'More Slim'

Rumors of the Galaxy Edge line’s demise may have been a bit premature. After reports that the Galaxy S25 Edge sold poorly and its successor had supposedly been canceled, a fresh signal points the other way: Samsung is in fact working on a device that could turn into the Galaxy S26 Edge.

According to GalaxyClub, the company has spent several months developing a new smartphone under the codename More Slim — a clear nod to the previous model’s internal name. That link suggests continuity in both design and intent: an ultra‑thin body, smoothly curved display edges, and a focus on premium aesthetics that long set Edge devices apart from the rest of the Galaxy S lineup.

Interestingly, More Slim is not the device previously thought to replace the Galaxy S26+. The initially planned project does appear to have been shuttered, with Samsung concentrating on its core trio of flagships: Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. Even so, the company seems to have left the door open for a standalone Galaxy S26 Edge a bit later — likely closer to the second half of 2026.

Analysts believe Samsung may prefer a wait‑and‑see strategy, especially watching how the next‑generation iPhone Air performs in 2026. If demand for ultra‑thin flagships grows — or if a response to Apple becomes necessary — the “More Slim” effort could move ahead and bring the Edge line back into play. The logic feels sound: better to step in when the appetite is clear than to push a niche device into a lukewarm market.
