During the release of its third-quarter 2025 financial results, Samsung for the first time addressed the upcoming Galaxy S26 flagships. Daniel Araujo, vice president of the mobile division, said the next generation would bring what the company describes as revolutionary AI capabilities, a new in-house next‑gen chip, and upgraded cameras.
That message effectively signals the adoption of the Exynos 2600. Insider reports point to a 2 nm manufacturing process and head-to-head positioning against the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Early benchmarks have already shown the new processor can surpass Qualcomm’s solutions in both single‑ and multi‑core tests.
Samsung is also zeroing in on imaging. Previous leaks suggest the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will switch to new sensors, while the S26 Ultra will focus on a brighter main lens. A replacement for the 10 MP 3x telephoto sensor is expected as well, though without dramatic changes. The approach hints at careful refinement of the camera stack rather than a wholesale overhaul at the very top.
The company left unaddressed the rumors about canceling the Galaxy S26 Edge and moving the Galaxy S26+ release to March 2026. Still, leadership’s emphasis on delivering a new user experience through AI integration suggests the S26 lineup is being positioned as a pivotal move to strengthen Samsung’s footing in the premium tier.
