Amid a record surge in gold prices, top-tier NVIDIA graphics cards are getting pricier as well. According to PC Games Hardware, the cost of the RTX 5090 in Europe is steadily climbing, while inventories are thinning fast.
NVIDIA’s Blackwell-generation flagship debuted at $1,999, already nudging into TITAN territory. It sold out quickly and was rarely seen at the recommended price. Now demand for the RTX 5090 is rising again, and retailers are adjusting just as swiftly as commodity markets react to oil price spikes—predictable, but still striking in speed.
On the German market, custom RTX 5090 boards are already listed at €2,600–€2,800, while the Founders Edition is nearly impossible to find. Even on eBay, listings start at €2,066. Models from Inno3D, Palit, and MSI are also showing a steady climb, and the momentum clearly points upward.
NVIDIA continues to release limited batches through its Verified Priority Access program, but it applies only to the Founders Edition and not in every region. Analysts expect the RTX 5090 shortage to persist, at least in Europe, with remaining units becoming harder to track down each week. In other words, it’s the familiar high-end GPU script: tight supply pushes flagships into price brackets once associated with halo products.
