Accessory maker Orico has officially stepped into the personal-computer arena with a lineup of compact systems, and one of the first out of the gate is the OminiPro mini PC. It arrives in a case styled after the Apple Mac Pro and supports external graphics cards, all while keeping pricing accessible for the Chinese market.
The OminiPro’s chassis leans into a distinctive look: a lattice front panel that echoes the Mac Pro’s pattern, plus carry handles on top and feet at the base. It’s a bold aesthetic, yet the practical touches suggest the design isn’t just for show.
Inside sits AMD’s Ryzen 7 8845HS paired with integrated Radeon 780M graphics. That setup is pitched as enough for modern AAA titles at 1080p on medium or low settings—more about smooth playability than maxed-out effects, but a sensible target for a compact machine.
Connectivity is a strong suit. Two full-featured USB4 ports enable use with external GPUs, expanding graphics performance beyond the integrated solution. The rest of the I/O covers HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, dual 2.5G Ethernet, two 10 Gbps USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The front panel hides its ports behind a cover when they’re not needed, keeping the face of the case tidy—a neat detail for clean desk setups.
According to the company, the mini PC uses an efficient cooling system and comes with a 120 W GaN power adapter described as delivering stable power and high efficiency. Wireless support includes Wi‑Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while configurations allow for up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory and as much as 8 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. On paper, that leaves generous room to grow.
In China, the Orico OminiPro in a barebone configuration is priced at 3,099 yuan (about $435). International availability has not been confirmed, though Orico traditionally sells its products beyond China. Taken together, the spec sheet and price point position the OminiPro as a value-focused compact PC with a clear path to more graphics power through USB4.
