Coros Pace 4 preview: ultra-light AMOLED sports watch with next-gen sensor

Coros has announced the imminent release of its new Pace 4 sports watch, the next step in the company’s popular GPS lineup for runners and triathletes. The model is promised to be exceptionally light and equipped with an ultra-bright display, positioning it alongside flagship sports smartwatches.

The official presentation is set for the coming days, with sales expected to begin on November 10. While the full spec sheet remains under wraps, it’s already clear the watch will switch to a new display type—most likely AMOLED rather than the traditional MIP—promising better visibility in harsh sunlight and more saturated colors. If that shift holds, it would make on‑wrist data easier to read at a glance.

In terms of concept, the model stays close to the Coros Pace 3, which offered up to 15 days of battery life, GPS navigation, altitude measurement, and a broad suite of sports features. According to the company, however, the Pace 4 will be even lighter and more comfortable for daily training and race day—an emphasis that aligns with what endurance athletes tend to value most.

The watch is set to receive a next‑generation optical sensor with five LEDs and four photodetectors, capable of tracking heart rate as well as blood oxygen saturation. Standard features are expected to include sleep tracking, activity monitoring, and other smart tools familiar to Coros users—a focused toolkit that keeps the essentials front and center.
