Samsung Galaxy S26 Unpacked rumored for Feb 25 in San Francisco

South Korean outlet Money Today reports that Samsung plans to hold a Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, where the company is expected to debut the Galaxy S26 lineup. There is no official confirmation yet, but industry sources say preparations are already underway.

If the timing holds, it would be the first Unpacked in San Francisco in three years; the last one there introduced the Galaxy S23 in 2023. A Samsung representative told the publication that the choice of city was deliberate: San Francisco is viewed as an artificial intelligence hub, and the company is positioning the Galaxy S26 series as a new generation of AI-first smartphones. The venue choice, in other words, doubles as a statement of intent.

The February 25 date also supports chatter about a slight schedule shift. Samsung traditionally unveils its flagships in late January or early February—the Galaxy S25 arrived on January 22, 2025. Sources tie the change to internal lineup tweaks and a recalibration of product strategy, suggesting the company is fine-tuning the launch rather than rushing it.

Earlier reports suggested Samsung had weighed replacing the base Galaxy S26 with a new “Pro” model and even bringing back an “Edge” variant instead of the Plus. The latest indications, however, point to a familiar trio—Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra—an approach that should help avoid confusion and reinforce brand recognition. Pragmatic, but likely effective.
